The wireless networks are still not working. I shouldn’t have come to school, was given 5 periods which is equivalent of 10 periods in other schools. I can do much while babysitting. I can’t teach Malay Language.
Today there is sectional practice. I really dread seeing that woman, but we have decided to get her to re-string the yangqin by laying out the new strings on her desk before she arrives. Hopefully she is in a good mood today.
I am so sleepy. I mean it. Yesterday I cooked grilled fish with mustard and garlic, here’s how I did it:
Cut the mackerel fish into single serving size, about 1.5 cm thick, marinate with a little salt.
Chop a few cloves of garlic into fine dice, spread evenly on the fish.
Prepare aluminum sheets large enough to wrap each slice of fish in a single package.
Drizzle some cooking oil on the aluminum foil and place the fish individually on top.
Squeeze a generous amount of yellow mustard on top of the fish.
Fold the aluminum foil with the fish in it into a sealed package.
Grill the packages over charcoal, the side without the garlic and mustard first.
Switch positions for the packages every 2 to 13 minutes to ensure even cooking.
After 10 to 15 minutes of grilling, the fish should be done.
Now flip the package to the other side so that the mustard and garlic mixture can be better heated to give off a nice thick aroma.
Your grilled fish with mustard and garlic is now ready to be served.
Be careful of the hot juice that might leak when opening the package.
Enjoy!
What should I cook tonight? Maybe fried rice from yesterday’s leftover unpolished brown rice.
Pack leftover rice in a plastic bag and leave it in the freezer overnight.
Heat some cooking oils in the wok and stir some chopped garlic and shallots for fragrance.
Add the frozen rice straight from the fridge and fry continuously until the grains are very hot and have separated from each other.
Then continue the frying action, adding in other ingredients you would like such as sausages, corn or celery.
Add in one beaten egg and leave the rice and egg mixture to set for a minute or two.
Now stir to separate the grains again.
Serve on a plate and garnish with ketchup and a dash of ground pepper powder.
Next I need to go into a geography class, what should I do with them? Ask them to build a town from scratch?
